What To Look For When Buying A Swimming Pool Heat Pump
There are so many different types of swimming pool pumps available. All types of brands, designs, shapes and sizes to choose from. Despite all of this variety, there are three things you need to focus on when you buying a heat pump. Make sure that you get a swimming pool heat pump that is high in quality, from a well-known brand and gives you warranty service support.
You will easily be able to find a company that will offer you a heat pump that is technologically advanced. These types of pumps are fully automatic and have great features. Some of these may include not having to set the heat pump every time you use it but will maintain that same temperature all the time. Also be sure to get a pump that will operate in temperatures that are as low as 45 degrees. This will ensure that you can get your pool heated even during the coldest weather conditions.
Factors To Consider
There are other factors to consider before getting a heat pump for your pool. One important one to keep in mind is the running of a sanitising system. When running a chlorine generation system or other sanitising system in your pool, it is important to choose your heat pump carefully. Choose a pump that has a titanium heat exchanger. This is because some chemicals in pools sometimes cause premature failure and damage of certain traditional heat exchangers. All these factors need to be considered before choosing a swimming pool heat pump.
Swimming Pool Heat Pump Installation
Installation of heat pumps is usually done before there are any chemical feeders in the pool. They are installed somewhere after the filter and pump. The reason they are installed the presence of any chemicals is to prevent premature corrosion. This way they will be able to work efficiently and give great results. Heat pumps needs a bit of room in order for them to work efficiently. There must be space of at least 2 feet around the pump. Space is also needed around the fan that blows out the cold air from the unit; this should be about 5 feet. All this will ensure that the pump works effectively so that only warm air is transferred into it. This will prevent the cold air that is coming out of the fan from re-entering the heat pump evaporator coil.
Other Things To Keep In Mind
Always make sure that your heat pump’s power light is on if you can’t turn it on. The heat pump also automatically turns off whenever there is not enough flow rate of water to the heat pump. It does this so that it does not get damaged. You can solve the problem by checking the filter to see if it is clogged or making sure that the pump is functioning properly. It is also usually wet on the floor where the heat pump is placed. This is caused by the condensation that the pump produces when it is functioning. This does not mean that the pump is leaking but is working properly. You can check if it is leaking by using a test strip to check for the presence of chlorine. No presence of chlorine means that it’s not leaking and it is just condensation.
